The Boathouse is a newly-opened charming canal side cafe-bar and restaurant. We are situated at the site of the old Golf Club, next to Chirk Marina on the Llangollen Canal.

All are welcome to enjoy a drink from our selection of fine wines and real ales, and choose from a menu of traditional home cooked food, all locally sourced.

We also offer Sunday roast dinners which have proved to be very popular! Alternatively, we can offer a unique addition to the Sunday lunch menu - a sharing platter. This is perfect for families and large groups.

Savour a quiet pint in front of the open log fire in the winter, or take in the stunning views of the Llangollen Canal from our outdoor terrace in summer; perfect to kick back on with a glass of wine while the kids burn off some energy on our extensive grounds.

The Boathouse is in a lovely location with fabulous views - perfect for families and gatherings of any size! Bookings are recommended, but not necessary. We do ask for a pre order for large parties.

We also offer free function room hire (seats up to 50 people). This is ideal for weddings, christenings, wakes, birthday, hen and retirement parties etc!
