The East Riding of Yorkshire Council have declared their buildings on Market Green in Cottingham, home of The Civic Hall, as surplus to requirements and plans to put them up for sale.
The Parish Council, along with various users and groups are planning to negotiate retention of these historical buildings to be run by the local community for the local community by setting up a charitable trust.
