Located in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside 'The Cottage' @ Rhydnebwen is a well appointed 2 bedroom holiday let available all year round.
The Cottage is on our traditional family smallholding, nestled in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside. Although it feels very tucked away we are within easy access of the M4 motorway. The nearest train station is Carmarthen which is a 20 minute drive away. Both the north and south coasts are easily accessible for day trips and there are plenty of family-friendly activities nearby.
The cottage is well equipped with a fantastic kitchen including dishwasher and microwave. Other provisions include TV with DVD and Fire Stick, BBQ, games barn with table tennis, highchair and selection of books, games and DVD's. No matter what time of year you stay it will be cosy : as
well as underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs there is a woodburner. One well behaved dog welcome.
The skies here are perfect for stargazing as we have very little light pollution. We have lots of birds to watch and there are quiet roads and countryside walks. We do lots to encourage wildlife and often have a visiting barn owl and bats. There is a river at the bottom of the field which is fun to splash around in and we have a campfire area that you can book for an evening of marshmallow toasting fun! Newcastle Emlyn and St Clears are both within easy reach for shopping and we sell eggs and some farm produce here.
We have lived here for 3 years, it was a former dairy farm and now we're a low intensity, natural, pesticide free small farm. We have started a large veg patch, planted an orchard and have newly planted woodland. Our aim is to be self sufficient for meat, veg, fruit and fuel. If you would like we're happy to show you round and introduce you to the animals.
There is a pub in Trelech (2 miles)
If you would like a home cooked meal, romantic dinner, birthday cake, loaf of homemade bread or picnic, we're happy to provide this for an extra cost.
