Dedicated to Ovingham's Darkroom Kitchen, a brand new photographic darkoom available for hire and for traditional film/print tuition.

The Darkroom Kitchen celebrates the world of Silver-based photography. It gives the chance to learn how photographs were created before the digital era and how it is still very popular today. Learn how to process films and make prints in this amazingly unique environment. It's a kitchen...and it's a darkroom...it's the Darkoom Kitchen!

Extensive range of equipment for hire in tuition, including Hasselblad, Leica, Nikon, Rollei, Voightlander and Sinar.

Bespoke tuition courses are available. If you have a general interest in film photography or you may want to know more about paper development, we can cater for you. If you have a specific interest - we can cater for that as well!

Two enlargers available for immediate deployment in hire and tuition. The Darkoom Kitchen employs the DeVere 504 with Rodenstock and Schnieder optics. It is mounted with the incredible Ilford 500 Multigrade system. The other enlarger is the fantastic Durst M605 with colour head and digital timer.

The Darkroom kitchen can produce prints up to 20"x16" and we can even show you how to tone your prints but please be aware that we need some notice for this for our Darkroom is also a Kitchen as well and we adhere to very, VERY strict H&S guidelines!
