The Mill in Port William has been derelict for many years and there is a unique opportunity to renovate it sympathetically to bring some amenities to help the village and wider community.

The plans are to offer an insight into the working history of this 200 year old mill with practical demonstrations of country life and natural history such as ploughing with heavy horses harvesting crops and demonstrations of milling flour. The renovations of the mill will incorporate a farm shop cafe area and artisan bakery/ all powered from the original water wheel. There will also be quality self catering accommodation available the benefits of an all weather facility with long term training and employment as part of the ongoing project. All changes will be sympathetic to the history of this unique building.
