Hello and welcome to our 'About' page!

The Emporium at Slaithwaite is a creative collective of 4 different shops each ran by 4 different local ladies with a passion for business.

The shops themselves are:

'The Vintage at The Emporium.' The vintage and antiques section, which is through the first set of doors and the first shop you see when you enter... it is here you can pick up treasured nic nacs, antiques, vintage clothing and accessories, and unique furniture from yesteryear.

Next is 'Felt Mountain Studios,' this can be found through the second set of doors and to your left. Here you can pick up handmade gifts, stationery, art, prints and clothing for both kids and adults all designed and created by budding makers from all over the UK.

Then we have 'The Gallery,' this is where you can browse our huge range of local artists with a talent for painting, sculpting, jewellery making and more... You can also purchase quality hand painted, shabby chic and original vintage furniture.

Finally we have 'The Yorkshire Makery,' our haberdashery filled to the brim with wool, buttons, fabric and crafts galore. You also purchase handmade creations by local makers and handcrafted furniture and home pieces by our in house design business 'Warped Designs' that also have a workshop in the back.

We want our facilities to be enjoyed by our local village as a source of fun, inspiration and encouragement, and since we first opened in 2012 we have not stopped! But we love every minute of it...

We love to create and this will be our biggest creation by far, but with our joint expertise and creativity we hope to make this one of West Yorkshire's best assets...
