The Sturminster Newton Orchestra

We are a group of musicians of all standards and ages who meet on Saturday mornings to play a variety of music and enjoy playing music together.

The Sturminster Newton Orchestra meets on Saturday mornings at the Stour View Centre 9:30-11:45 (with coffee break) to play a variety of music and to enjoy playing music together. Miles Nipper has been our Director of Music since 2010.

As a rule we do not put ourselves under pressure by giving public performances, but at the end of each term we put on a very informal 'open rehearsal/concert' at the Exchange in Sturminster Newton to anyone who wants to come and hear us!
