The Sunningdale Hotel, Bamburgh is situated in the centre of the beautiful coastal village of Bamburgh, and is just 5 minutes walk from Bamburgh Castle, often considered the most magnificent castle in England.

The Sunningdale is a small family run hotel with double rooms, single rooms, twin rooms and family rooms offering bed and breakfast accommodation as well as short breaks and dinner bed and breakfast deals at certain times throughout the year.

At The Sunningdale we have 21 rooms, a restaurant and modern comfortable bright lounge making us a superb base for group holidays. Our light airy rooms include a TV and complimentary tea/coffee, and many rooms enjoy splendid views of Bamburgh Castle, the village or local farmland.

Our superb restaurant offers excellent quality food using local produce where possible. We serve a daily buffet breakfast including Bamburgh sausages and bacon, and we look to include various specials to compliment our evening meal menu.

We offer child friendly holidays and we are also one of Bamburgh Village's few dog friendly hotels, so you can bring the whole family.

The Sunningdale Hotel can be found by taking the B1341 from the A1, this exit is North of Alnwick and South of Belford and is also known as Purdy Lodge Garage at Adderstone.

After taking this exit follow a country road for approximately 5 miles which will bring you into Bamburgh. The Sunningdale Hotel is one of the first buildings on your right hand side.

If you are planning to use the coastal route through Northumberland you will approach Bamburgh from Seahouses and will enter the village with the castle on your right. After the castle the road forms a V. Fork to the left and continue up this road past the small shops and houses and The Sunningdale Hotel will be on your left.
