The Tea Hut at Tissington - 07875 257956

We specialise in freshly ground coffee, hot drinks, paninis, bacon and sausage sandwiches, cakes, lollies and ice creams.

The Tea Hut at Tissington is situated on High Peak Trail twelve miles south of the spa town of Buxton. With ample parking, toilet facilities and picnic benches it is easily reached via the A515 from both Buxton and Ashbourne and makes the ideal starting point to explore the Peak District.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside the traffic-free trail is ideal for horse riders, cyclists and walkers. It is mostly flat, so is great for all the family and is well surfaced.

The trail was originally the trackbed of the Buxton to Ashbourne railway line, built by the LNWR and opened in 1899. Following the closure of the line in the 1960s, it was decided to remove the track and turn the line into a trail for the benefit of all.

Please note due to our remote location, we are unfortunately unable to accept card payments at the tea hut.
