Hi, I'm Paul Hancock - thanks for visiting my page. I live in Wanstead with my wife and two children, and I’ve been a professional photographer for over 25 years. I ‘grew up’ in my father’s Highams Park photography studio, shooting my first wedding when I was just 17. (I’m not sure who was more nervous, me or the bride…) Now a veteran of over 700 weddings and countless portrait sessions, I set up The Wanstead Portrait Studio to offer people something a little different to typical High Street photographers. Forget the stylised backgrounds, ‘wacky’ props and forced poses you get with some studios: I take a rather more natural approach, shooting in a reportage style and preferring to take advantage of the many beautiful locations in the area - Wanstead Park and Epping Forest are my 'studio'. And because Mother Nature and the seasons play a big part in the backgrounds and lighting, every portrait session is guaranteed to be unique.
