This Poppy, a 1970 series 2A, short wheel base Land Rover in original Limestone, available for wedding hire or other special occasions.

This is Poppy. She is a 1970 short wheel base series 2a Land Rover, the prettiest version made! Poppy was built on 14th October 1970 and first registered on 11th November, hence the name. Poppy has been with the same family for the last 16 years, she was first purchased to provide transport to take my eldest daughter to nursery. This daughter is now nagging to be taught to drive in her (no doubt closely followed by daughter number two).
Recently Poppy had a full ground up restoration. Time had taken its toll so she was treated to a new chassis, brakes, suspension and a gleaming coat of limestone paint to match her original colour. We decided that Botox was not needed so she still has a few wrinkles and dents aquired over the years. The interior is still original, but will soon be attended to. Currently Poppy parades around topless as you can see in the pictures. She will soon be sporting a new soft top which can be either removed on sunny days or rolled up to allow a better view inside.
As with most ladies in their fourties, Poppy looks poised and elegant but given the right occasion can provide more fun than she will admit to!
