I make custom guitars and banjos. I also repair a wide range of string instruments

My work supplies shops in London as well as musicians, both novice and professional, all over the UK. All my instruments are hand-made using traditional hand tools and methods and I am happy to make instruments for UK delivery or collection from the workshop.


My specialities include building custom banjos, banjolas, Weissenborns, Resophonic and various other types of lapstyle guitars, and when asked conventional steel string guitars too (see List of Custom Jobs Available for more information).


I have a particular interest in Hawaiian guitars, having focused on their history and development as part of my BSc at London Metropolitan, where I trained as a Luthier under Godefroy Maruejouls (MJS Guitars), Norman Myall and Nicholas Blishen.


When I’m not making instruments I am most likely to be found playing them, especially the banjo, lap style guitars and to a lesser extent electric bass and conventional guitar, so I know from experience what it is that you're after as a player.
