Whitstable Iaido

The art of drawing and cutting with the Japanese sword. Often referred to as Iai do/Iai jutsu or Batto do/Batto jutsu

Phil heads up the Tekisui Jyuku Dojo (滴水塾) in Whitstable, Kent, England.

The Dojo was founded to provide a place for anyone with an interest in the Japanese sword to come and study the use of the Japanese sword.

The Dojo is very fortunate to have links with several other Dojo's two of which are in Japan.

The Dojo name was given to me by Shimojo sensei 英国 滴水 - EIKOKU TEKISUI JYUKU

The Dojo's name is 滴水 -Tekisui Jyuku, which has the following translation:

One droplet of water has little effect but many droplets can break a big rock.
