The smock mill was built about 1820 and was in full working order until 1926, surviving the Second World War intact.
The Mill was at one time the only windmill in Kent to be listed as an Ancient Monument.
Inside the windmill you can explore the rich and ancient history of the mill and see photos of the complete restoration, including the dismantling of the old structure and the rebuild step by step over the years.
The Mill is set in a beautiful location, a good start or end to exploring the Kent countryside, close to Tenterden and Ashford with many more attractions near by.
A brilliant muse for artists and photographers alike.
Donations are always gratefully received to help keep the mill in working order.
