I am a journalist with 25 years’ experience in Internal Communications, built on the foundation of training in city newspaper journalism. I have the ability to understand and communicate often complex business issues in interesting and informative ways and to tell the stories of the people at every echelon of industry – as well as helping organisations talk to their employees through a variety of written media.

Freelance Journalist Write Focus Communications 2010 – Present
Having been a freelance, I established Write Focus Communications in order to focus my work as a journalist specialising in corporate communications and internal communications.
This has since taken me across a broad strata of British Industry – business sectors from heavy haulage to catering – where I have interviewed and written about individuals with diverse roles – from chefs at leading public schools, army barracks cleaners and prison guards to nursery nurses and long-distance lorry drivers.

I have helped Essex-based new business Secure Haven – http://www.securehaven.co.uk – to establish their identity by writing their entire company website, providing supporting press releases targeting local newspapers & lifestyle magazines and trade press. I also produced copy for brochures and all the company’s print advertising, also advising on radio scripts. Specially-commissioned by Talisman Communications (see below).
