York Priory Guest House
The York Priory Guesthouse is the original lodgings on Fulford Road.
The building is a large Victorian Terrace and was built in 1876 as a family home It was converted into a 'boarding house' in the 1930's and is always fondly remembered by the twin gothic arches in the gardens marking the entrance to the carpark.
The York Priory was always known as The Priory Hotel but in 2008 changed its name to Priory Guesthouse in keeping with the tousist board new assessment.
Situated on the inner ring road 1076 in the fishergate area of Fulford Road. It is only a 10-15 minute riverside walk to the city centre and attractions. The distance from the York Priory to The Jorvik viking Centre it is .5 mile = 0.804672 kilometres.
The York University is a 10 minute walk or slightly longer by road. St Johns University is about 2 miles away
