Community Health Councils in Wales are independent watchdogs for the public / patients in relation to the NHS.
We undertaken four key roles in oversight of the NHS
1: Provide an Independent Advocacy Service for public and patients who wish to raise a concern over NHS treatment they have had.
2: Undertake Scrutiny visits to NHS service / premises to find out what the patient experience is
3: To engage with the local population on health issues to ensure your voice is heard by the local NHS
4: To be engaged and consulted by the NHS when services are to be changed
To ensure we achieve the above we do need your help by engaging with us either by phone, email, post or through our virtual stakeholder reference group.
