Danielle Vaughan graduated with a degree in Design & Manufacture from Leicester Polytechnic and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from De Montfort University going on to teach in schools and colleges in the Midlands.
Working from her home studio as a full-time, professional artist since 2014, Danielle is currently exploring the creation of images using recycled materials (mainly ripped paper from magazines) with the focus being on pattern, colour and textures.
Text inevitably forms part of her work which she uses both deliberately and at random, teasing the viewer to decide which .
Achievements:
2014 -Won the Sparkenhoe Prize Award in Market Bosworth.
2015 - Won the 'People's Choice Award' from Active Arts.
2016 - Elected to join the Leicester Society of Artists.
Danielle is a regular contributor to local exhibitions and galleries and runs popular teaching workshops from galleries and her home studio.
