Galgate and Ellel Women's institute

Once monthly meeting (3rd Thursday of the month).

Meeting for women aged 15yrs and over. Usually minutes of head office meeting discussed followed by an outside speaker presenting a talk on a set topic. This is usually followed by a raffle and brew with biscuits or cake.
Announcements are brought forward of any activities which are open to the group members, these include shopping trips, country walks, fairs, quizzes etc).

To become a fully paid up member it costs £30 per year but this is not expected unless you wish to become a full member. Once a member you receive a booklet with money off coupons and a subscription to the WI quarterly magazine called "the hotpot".
