Lewes Martial Arts - Bushido Kwai Dojo based in Lewes, specialises in Judo, JuJitsu, Kobudo and self-defence classes. It is a family friendly club and welcomes all standards, and levels of fitness whether you are a complete beginner or you have been graded in any of the specialisms, the club teaches all the way up to black belt.

Martial arts, cultivates self-discipline, self-respect, as well as improving your fitness and concentration. There is no better sport for building confidence and getting fit and healthy in a social environment. Children can benefit hugely from martial arts and their confidence will flourish.

Our instructor Sensei Ray Twitchen is graded 3rd Dan in Judo and JuJitsu Shodoshei San and holds a Master’s Degree in Martial Arts. He has been teaching for over 30 years, has experience of teaching all ages, and has coached students through to national level.

Whether your aim is just to explore and enjoy the physical activity of Judo, JuJitsu, or Kobudo, in a safe, controlled setting, or to progress to competitive level, all can be assured of the very best teaching.
