Romney Marsh Countryside Partnership - 01797 367934

The Romney Marsh Countryside Partnership is a non-profit organisation which was set up in 1996 to help care, manage and promote the Romney Marsh.

JOIN IN A CONSERVATION TASK

New volunteers are always welcome to join us and help care for the countryside, no experience is needed. You are not obliged to come out on a regular basis, just to the events that interest you. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU

You should wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or torn. Bring waterproofs if rain is forecast, and wear plenty of layers in cold weather. Please bring wellingtons if the details ask you to.

You should wear boots or shoes with good grip and preferably those that support your ankle. Please wear long sleeved tops to stop scratches and stings to your arms.

We will provide water, squash and biscuits. Bring a flask if you prefer a hot drink, and a packed lunch if you intend to stay all day.

We provide an experienced leader, training and supervision, tools and gloves, but please bring your own gloves if you have them.

WHY COME ON A VOLUNTEER TASK?

Going on a volunteer task with us can be a good way to keep fit and get fresh air. It’s also a good opportunity to learn about the fantastic nature reserves on beautiful sites that we work on and meet other people, as we help to improve sites for wildlife and local people.
