Seashack is a two bedroom chalet offering well-equipped accommodation for four people on the quiet Winterton Valley Estate chalet park, five minutes from the beach in Winterton-on-Sea, Norfolk. Open from Good Friday March 25th 2016. Taking bookings now.

Winterton-on-Sea is 40 minutes’ drive from Norwich and 2½ hours from central London. Car parking is free in the car park next to the chalet. Public transport access is by train to Great Yarmouth and a 30 minute journey on bus route 1 towards Martham.

A quiet former fishing village, Winterton has a fish and chip shop, the dunes beach side café, a Post Office and general store, small supermarket and the Fishermans Return pub.

It’s a place I regularly visit on the Norfolk coast. My children love to run around in the dunes there, the beach is huge and sandy and – big plus – we can take our dog. There’s a great café to warm up (or cool off) in afterwards. Oh, and the village has a great pub too. It’s heaven.

A favourite walk of mine, not only because it takes in the glorious dog-friendly beach and dunes at Winterton, but also because whichever way you do it you can end up at a dog-friendly pub – the Fisherman’s Return in Winterton or the Nelson Head in Horsey.
