The Fringe Sessions are a series of intimate evening performances held at 'McBuzz’s Barn' - a handsome oak-framed building on the edge of the village of Salcombe Regis at Thorn Park Golf Course a couple of miles along the coast from Sidmouth.
The Sessions are 'free to all music lovers' and showcase some of the best new and emerging artists from across the UK along with some local favourites and occasional international touring artists.
It runs alongside (but independent of) the long-established Sidmouth Folk Festival held down in the town.
The event is supported by BBC Introducing (Devon) and has been hosted by BBC Presenter/Producer James Santer in recent years. There is a team of videographers covering the event with a live feed to a big screen on the side of the barn. There is also unplugged filming in locations around the venue by the Croft Sessions during the day. (see link below)
Live music with 4 top acts each night from 7.00pm until late. There are no 'support acts' or 'headliners'. Just the very best and exciting artists we can find from the start.
The venue is adjacent to the Sidmouth festival campsite - so there is camping and showers available right next door. There is a bar serving a range of excellent local beers and ciders plus delicious hot food with vege and vegan options.
A regular shuttle bus service runs from Sidmouth to the venue if you want to forget the car for the evening!
Lets make some more sweet summer memories!
