The Lake Wardens are employed by South Lakeland District Council. The Council's aim is to make South Lakeland the best place to Live, Work and Explore.
The Lake Wardens Service is provided by South Lakeland District Council.
We operate a patrol and rescue service on Windermere, Englands largest lake.
We also provide boat training for other agencies such as Cumbria Fire and Rescue, Cumbria Constabulary and The National Trust. We are able to offer advice on all matters relating to the Lake and its usage.
