495 Squadron is one of over 1000 squadrons in the Air Training Corps and represents the Sutton Coldfield area of Birmingham in the West Midlands.
Our cadets are all local and compete within the sqn and in the Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing in sports, shooting, drill and other activities. Our squadron band is currently the best in our local wing "Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing" and has been for 4 years running!
The cadets also get oppourtunities throughout the year to go flying, gliding, target shooting and on annual camps to active RAF stations.
We also run Duke of Edinburgh expeditions throughout the year to locations like the Peak District and Wales with large numbers attaining all 3 levels of the award and have one of the highest success rates at all levels across Warwickshire & Birmingham Wing.

If you are interested why not come down for a tour of the squadron to see what being a cadet is like and hopefully join us. We parade on tuesdays and fridays from 7pm to 9.30pm
